A Joint cultural program for Baisakhi and Himachal Day celebrations

As we all know that Baisakhi is the most awaited festival for North Indians as this festival is celebrated to mark the cutting of the winter crop. It is held on the 13th of April every year. It is celebrated in the whole of India by different names.
Himachal Day is celebrated on 15th of April. It was on this day in 1971 that Himachal Pradesh became the 18th state of India.
 Keeping in mind the importance of both occasions a joint cultural program on Baisakhi as well as on Himachal Day was organized on the 13th of April, 2023 at L.I.E.T.Bharari, Shimla. Bhangra was presented by a group of girls and was the most cheered performance of the day. Also, a Punjabi folk song i.e. Tappe was performed as a group song by Pupil teachers. A speech highlighting the importance of the festival was given by Neha Sood. The celebration was marvelous and a memorable one for both the Teachers and Pupil Teachers as it was celebrated with great pomp and joy. Students participated in the folk dance of Himachal Pradesh i.e. Natti. A speech was also given by Lalita highlighting the importance of the day. 


A Guest Lecture on World Health Day

The date of 7th April marks the anniversary of the founding of WHO in 1948. Every year on 7th April World Health Day is celebrated worldwide. This year also drew attention to specific health concerns under the theme of”international year of Millets” which was celebrated worldwide. A guest lecture was organized on the occasion of World Health Day at L.I.E.T, Bharari too for the students of B.Ed. 1st and 2nd year. Dr.Vijay Lakshmi was invited, who is the head of the health center at Bharari. She graced the function and very well delivered the key points on health concerns and emphasized adding millets in our day-to-day life to make ourselves healthy. All the staff members the Principal of the institute as well as students of both years attended the lecture. Students prepared charts too on this occasion and very keenly listened to her. A question answer session was also held after the session.At last Dr. Kamaljit Kaur Principal of L.I.E.T

Earthquake Mock Drill Day

The earthquake Mock drill was conducted at L.I.E.T, Bharari, Shimla in the morning at 10. A.M. on 13th April 2023 in order to motivate the students to ensure safety and preparedness during an earthquake. Madam Kiran Dharmani  Vice Principal of Laureate Public School, Bharari, Shimla-3 demonstrated the steps involved in the Mock drill. The students of B.Ed. lst year and 2nd year participated in it.


Ambedkar Jayanti

Category : Day Celebration

Ambedkar Jayanti is an annual festival celebrated on 14th April every year, which is the birth anniversary of Dr.Bhim Rao Ambedkar who is also known as Baba Saheb Ambedkar and this day is also celebrated to honor his contribution and service to the country. The students of L.I.E.T. Bharari, Shimla celebrated 132 nd birth anniversary of the architect of the Indian constitution Dr.Bhim Rao Ambedkar ji under the supervision of Principal Dr. Kamaljit Kaur with traditional fervor and enthusiasm by paying tribute to him and remembering his teachings and contribution to the Indian society. The students through various cultural activities threw light on the achievements and teachings of Dr. Ambekar in the end Principal Madam appreciated the efforts of the students and the celebration came to an end.


Get Together for the batch of B.Ed. (2022-2024)

Get Together for the batch of B.Ed. (2022-2024) was organized on 23/11/2022 at the Laureate Institute of Education And Training. The Party Began with lightning up of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana sang by a group of students and a ramp walk by all the Pupil Teachers. The other Highlights were Group dance, group and solo song, Shero Shayari, poetry recitation, games being played by all in small groups, etc. The party was graced up by the Presence of Dr.Ran Singh(Managing Director) of the Laureate Society, Dr. Meera Singh(Secretary) Laureate Society as well as (Principal L.I.E.T) Dr.Kamaljit Kaur and all the other staff members of the institute. After that everyone enjoyed  starters and delicious lunch. lt was a lovely day and memorable one too. Here is a glimpse of the party:

Boarding on ✈️ flight 2023

Students of Laureate Institute Of Education And Training, Bharari, Shimla celebrated New Year with great enthusiasm on 31st Dec 2022 in the college garden. The garden was decorated with fragrant flowers, and many chairs were installed for everyone to sit on. A small stage was made where a few programs were held: a dance program on Bollywood songs, group songs, solo songs, dances, etc. The teachers too enjoyed a lot on the eve with students. The students gave away the titles to each student and also to the teachers as a gesture of love and affection. It was a great day. Everyone fed each other sweets. Everyone wished each other a happy new year and one could see a lot of smiles on everyone’s faces. The main Highlights were as follows.

Achievement of the Year 2022

A National Fest was organized at the Himachal Pradesh University on 9th, 10th and 11th of November. It consisted of cultural events like group dance, solo song, group song and literary activities. Our college students took part in the group song and it was judged as the third finisher. Our participation was very good and enthusiastic. Our group song was “Koti Koti Kantho Ne Gaya Maa Ka Gaurav Gaan Hai”. Participants were assisted by our Music teachers Mr. Ankush Sandal and Mr. Ravi Kumar on tabla and harmonium. Prizes were also awarded by our Director of the Institute, Dr. Ran Singh in the morning assembly the very next day when the function was over. They also focused on the importance of participation and showcasing talent in such activities for the all round development which is the main motive of the educational institute. Guest Lecture on the Development of Communication Skills

A program for spoken English was held on 12th Dec. 2022. It was organized for the purpose of teaching-learning in the classroom. Effective teaching and learning include the correct and exact usage of language in the classroom. The guest lecturer took an effort to include students in many activities which include the use of language. At the end of the lecture, Mr. Bhupesh told about his online Spoken English Course in which many students got enrolled.

Talk on the Importance of Voting

Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation Program is the flagship program of Election Commission.

Dr.Suresh Kumar and Mr. Param Dev Sharma, representatives of S.V.E.E.P enlightened the children on the importance of voting and taking a conscious decision on choosing the right representatives to lead the State. The pupil teachers took an oath to vote in forthcoming elections in the presence of Dr. Meera Singh, Secretary, Laureate Education and Society, Dr. Kamaljit Kaur, Principal, L.I.E.T and other staff members.
